A creator campaign depends on the product arriving, a shared brief and permission to use the finished work. Connect those steps in one launch record before dispatching samples. Assign an owner to each handoff so a late parcel, an unclear claim or an unanswered approval does not become a publication surprise.
Agree the brief before sending the sample
Choose the audience and the decision the content should support. Specify the product variant, destination page and requested format. Explain which facts the creator can demonstrate and which need approved wording. Provide a contact for questions about assembly, compatibility or product use.
Separate an unconditional sample from a collaboration that includes a publication commitment. Confirm deliverables, compensation, revision scope and intended publication window in writing. Make clear whether the creator can give an independent opinion and how factual corrections will be handled.
Confirm permissions for the intended use
Ask who will publish the content and where the brand wants to reuse it. Record the agreed channels, territory, duration, editing permission and any paid advertising use. A delivered sample alone does not record those permissions. Keep the approval and the final content version together.
Check the destination platform’s current branded content rules before scheduling. YouTube requires creators to identify relevant commercial relationships through its paid promotion setting. Other platforms and markets have their own requirements. Assign the disclosure check to a named person and obtain specialist advice when the arrangement needs it.
Make sample delivery part of the production schedule
Confirm the recipient’s preferred variant, contact details and delivery arrangements through an appropriate private channel. Give fulfilment the dispatch deadline and the date filming can realistically begin. Record the shipment reference and carrier tracking separately from the campaign ID. Restrict address access to people handling the shipment.
For an international shipment, agree responsibility for preparation, transport and any required import information before handover. Ask the creator to confirm receipt and condition. If delivery slips, move the content review rather than assuming the original publication date still works.
- Sample owner confirms the item, accessories and preparation status.
- Dispatch owner records handover and follows delivery exceptions.
- Creator confirms receipt and flags damage or a wrong variant.
- Campaign owner updates the filming and review dates.
Review the draft against the agreed facts
Keep one versioned review record with the draft link, factual comments, required disclosure and decision owner. Check specifications, the landing page and any delivery statement. Preserve the creator’s actual experience. A review should not turn an untested assumption into a claim of personal use.
Illustrative launch record: campaign SAMPLE-01 has one demonstration video and a product page link. The sample must arrive before filming; the product owner checks specifications; the campaign owner confirms permissions and disclosure before publication. The dates are agreed after receipt. This is a workflow example, not a completed campaign.
Measure publication and business response separately
Test the destination link and campaign parameters before release. After publication, save the live URL and check the approved version and disclosure. Ask for available platform reporting at an agreed point. Track published assets, relevant visits and qualified enquiries separately so a view count does not become a sales claim.
Record sample costs, delivery exceptions and revision effort beside the response data. Attribution can miss later visits or enquiries made through another channel. Use those limits when deciding what to repeat. Bring the brief, sample destinations and intended usage to a JetonTrack KOL / KOC scope discussion; quantities and fees need confirmation.
Common questions
Does sending a sample guarantee a post?
Only the agreed collaboration defines the deliverables. Confirm publication expectations before dispatch; an unconditional gift may have no posting commitment.
When should the publication date be fixed?
Agree a provisional window, then confirm it against receipt, testing and review needs. Keep a named owner for changes when delivery or approval is delayed.
